Frequently Asked Questions
Short, verifiable answers about VANTERIS products. Every figure comes from the datasheet of the corresponding part number.
Catalog
What products does VANTERIS offer?
Consumables for controlled environments across eight categories: wipers and cleaning, gloves, ESD control, cleanroom apparel, face masks, sticky mats and flooring, swabs and applicators, and specialized products. The catalog published today includes 19 part numbers.
Which industries are VANTERIS products for?
Medical devices, electronics, semiconductor, aerospace, pharmaceutical and advanced manufacturing.
Where are VANTERIS products manufactured?
All 10 products in the current catalog declare China as country of origin on their datasheet.
Are VANTERIS products disposable?
Cleanroom apparel — beard covers, caps, hood and shoe covers — is declared disposable, single use. The face mask is single use as well.
Face masks
What bacterial filtration efficiency does the VANTERIS face mask have?
BFE of 98% or greater. It is a blue three-layer pleated polypropylene mask with nose clip and elastic earloops, 17.5 × 9.5 cm.
How many pieces are in a box of VANTERIS face masks?
Box of 50 pieces. Each case holds 40 boxes, that is 2,000 pieces in total.
Sticky mats
What are VANTERIS sticky mats made of?
Low-density polyethylene, with a water-based acrylic adhesive coating and a thickness of 40 microns. Peel strength is 1200 g ± 50 g.
How many layers does a VANTERIS sticky mat have and what sizes are available?
30 layers per mat, in blue. Two sizes are available: 24 × 36 in and 26 × 45 in. Each pack holds 8 mats of 30 layers, and each case 5 packs, that is 40 mats.
Does the sticky mat leave residue when removed?
No. The datasheet states it leaves no adhesive residue or odor, that the soiled layer peels off to reveal a clean one, and that the mat is water and moisture resistant.
Wipers & cleaning
Is the VANTERIS polyester wipe compatible with solvents?
Yes. The datasheet states it is compatible with virtually any solvent or cleaning solution. It is 100% polyester, 130 g/m², with laser-sealed edges.
How many particles does the VANTERIS polyester wipe generate?
400 particles by LPC count above 0.5 µm. Its sorption capacity is 346 ml/m² and it measures 9 × 9 in (228.6 × 228.6 mm).
Why does a laser-sealed edge matter on a wipe?
Laser sealing closes the fabric edge, which is why the wipe generates very few particles: 400 by LPC count above 0.5 µm. That makes it suitable for precision cleaning and particle control in cleanrooms.
Cleanroom apparel
What is the difference between the VANTERIS bouffant cap and pleated cap?
Both are 10 gsm nonwoven polypropylene, 24 in, with an elastic band. The difference is the design: the pleated cap is folded, which allows compact storage and quick donning. The bouffant cap comes in white and blue; the pleated cap, in white.
What does the nonwoven hood cover and what is its basis weight?
It covers head and neck. It is 100% nonwoven polypropylene at 25 gsm, measures 40 × 42 cm, is latex free and is declared low particle.
Does the VANTERIS shoe cover have an antislip sole?
Yes. It is 35 gsm SPP polypropylene, blue, with an antislip sole, used to keep footwear from directly touching surfaces that must stay clean.
Are any VANTERIS products latex free?
The 40 × 42 cm nonwoven hood explicitly declares latex free on its datasheet. For the rest of the catalog, check each part number's datasheet.
Datasheets & part numbers
Where can I get the datasheet for a VANTERIS product?
Every product has its datasheet online, ready to view or print, at the product address followed by /ficha/. For example: vanteris.mx/en/products/vtn-ms-pp-3pel-blu/ficha/
How is a VANTERIS part number structured?
It starts with the VTN- prefix followed by the category code (MS face masks, WP wipers, MAT mats, AP apparel), material, type, size and color. For example, VTN-AP-10PP-BFRD-24-BLU is apparel, 10 gsm polypropylene, bouffant cap, 24 in, blue.
